Postcards of Scotland, Greetings Cards, Christmas Cards, Prints and Gifts
Phil Banks Photography commenced trading in October 1989 in the lovely town of Grantown-on-Spey, initially selling landscape prints to local businesses. Postcards were introduced in 1990 and thanks to the support of many Highland retail outlets and sub post offices ( of which there were many in the 1990's!) and the buying public, Phil was able to expand trade to areas of Scotland outside of the Highlands.
With encouragement from some of the retailers already buying postcards, Phil published Scottish Calendars from the late 90's until 2011. By that year, the calendar market was extremely competitive, some of the book stores and companies supplied with calendars had gone out of business so reluctantly the decision was made to stop producing them.
Postcards are still supplied to retailers in the Highlands and elsewhere and Phil is now expanding the Picture Galleries with images available to purchase online as greetings cards and prints. The Gallery images will be added to on a regular basis.
Phil's main interest has always been in photographing the landscape and nature and trying to capture the scene as it looks to the viewer. Our base nowadays is further down the River Spey in the equally lovely district of Ballindalloch.
